Star Academy commemorates World Autism Awareness Day
WAVERLEY – Read how one organisation will kickstart Autism Month this week in Waverley.
As South Africa prepares to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April, The Star Academy will host a commemorative event on 1 April.
The event will take place in Waverley and will include the launch of Autism Month, also beginning on 1 April. Speakers at the event will include Ilana Gershlowitz, director of The Star Academy, and Phillip Viljoen from the Tembisa Outreach Programme.
The academy is an organisation which delivers individualised ABA programmes to children on the autism spectrum or with a related disorder.
