No monkeying around at zoo

PARKVIEW- The community felt safe at the recent Mother's Day event at Johannesburg Zoo.

At a recent Mother’s Day concert held at Johannesburg Zoo in Parkview, the local police joined hands with security company ADT and Metro police to ensure a safe and secure environment for all visitors attending the celebrations.

Increased visibility and patrols secured the areas in and around the zoo from 9am to 4.30pm and reaction officers assisted with illegal parking in the area on the day.

The joint operation was also extended to the Art in the Park event at Zoo Lake which took place at the same time as the concert.

“ADT has a proud relationship with the police and Metro police and always welcomes the opportunity to provide resources for joint operations of this nature,” said general manager of ADT Inland Region, Theunis Kotze.

“We’re pleased to report our presence made a significant difference on the day and was positively accepted by visitors to the zoo.”
