
A man (30) accused of a stabbing incident in Bramley was arrested by the Bramley police.
The incident allegedly occurred at a local Internet café.
According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Bramley Police Station, when the victim stepped out of the cafe, a man known to the victim approached him.
“Without saying anything to him, the accused began viciously assaulting the victim using a sharp object,” said Maphakela.
The perpetrator stabbed the victim under the eye which resulted in the complainant sustaining a severe injury. Maphakela added that the victim reported the matter to the police who arrested the accused.
“He was detained at the Bramley Police Station and charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm,” Maphakela said. The accused has since made an appearance in the Alexandra Magistrates’ court.
