Hawks Gauteng Serious Corruption Unit, which is based in Parktown, recently arrested Constable Mokgokgolusi David Mosima (33), Constable Lucas Sepeke Kgapula (30), and David Makakaba (34), for theft and corruption in Hatfield, Pretoria.

The trio, who identified themselves as police officials, seized eight expensive whisky crates in transit to Hatfield by a security company, alleging that they were stolen.
“Police received a tip-off about three males, fitting the description of the suspects at a nearby restaurant sharing the liquor among themselves,” said Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu from the Hawks.

The Hawks held an identity parade at Brooklyn Police Station where they were positively identified.

The trio made a brief appearance before the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on 3 October for theft and corruption. The case was postponed to 10 November for further investigation and they were granted bail of R1 000 each.
