Mother’s in blue are rewarded with surprise celebration at Parkview Police Station

PARKVIEW – The women in blue were recently surprised by the men in blue with a Mother's Day event.

Parkview policemen organised a Mother’s Day celebration at the Parkview Police Station recently for their female colleagues.

The mother’s in blue were surprised when they were told to go to the boardroom an found it was decorated with beautiful colours.

The station’s commander, Colonel Theledi Zachariah Gopane mentioned that all the men from the police station felt it would be wonderful to organise a lunch for the mothers in blue.

The event was to show appreciation to the mothers of the station and to let them know that they are special every day and in every way.

Gopane further mentioned that mothers in blue are not the mothers of their own children but for every child that is living.

Ali Murray a guest speaker from AMRC Consultancy was invited to speak to the mothers.”Mothers are the world; I encourage mothers to work together. When the mothers are united they can build the nation,” said Murray.

“Thanks to all the men of Parkview Police Station and we extend our gratitude to The Local Grill in Parktown North, Fournos Dunkeld West, Ali Murray for contributing her book, Forbidden love, Guilty Pleasure and not forgetting Parkview police reservists. You all made our day special,” concluded Sibeko.
