Skeleton found along Juskei River

LOMBARDY WEST – The Sandringham police are calling on the community to assist with information following the discovery of a skeleton along the Jukskei River.

 

The Sandringham police are calling on the community to assist in the identification of a skeleton which was slightly submerged on the bank of the Jukskei River on 20 April.

Spokesperson for the station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the remains were on the south side of London Road in Lombardy West.

The skeleton was found by a community member who went to the river to pray but soon saw blue jeans in the water. The community member went to investigate and discovered a skeleton clad in a T-shirt and jeans.

Mamabolo said the cause of death and identity are unknown but they believe the deceased was male.

No arrests have been made and police are calling on the community to come forward with any information.
