Bramley woman arrested with stolen goods from hijacked truck

BRAMLEY – Several stolen goods from a hijacked trucked were traced to the home of a woman in Bramley.

A Bramley woman has been arrested after several appliances from a hijacked trucked were traced to her home on 28 May.

Captain Kay Makhubele said a truck en-route to Namibia and carrying several household appliances was noticed by the tracking company to have gone off-route. The tracking company notified the police and traced the stolen goods to the suspect’s home in Bramley and an empty shop in Kempton Park.

Makhubele added that the driver of the truck was still missing but the vehicle was recovered near a taxi rank in Kempton Park.

The woman is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court.
