Uitkoms Home for Girls calls for donations

The Uitkoms Home for Girls is calling on the local community for donations for their ongoing jumble sales.

Administrator at the home Yolanda Erasmus said, “Please don’t throw away any useful items. Uitkoms Home for Girls can make use of your unwanted goods. All items that can be used at the home will be, and anything that can’t be used here will be put to use at our jumble sales which are an ongoing fundraising initiative”

She added, “All children’s homes are currently underfunded, us by approximately 52 per cent, and we are therefore required, by whatever means, to make up for the deficit of our required budget.”
