JOBURG – City Buzz goes behind the scenes of Nadia Nakai and Priddy Ugly’s music video shoot.

Earlier in the year, hip-hop virtuosos, Nadia Nakai and Priddy Ugly closed off the latest season of the popular Bacardi House Party series with a bang.

The Bacardi House Party Sessions give budding artists a chance to showcase their talent alongside some of the biggest names in the industry while throwing the ultimate house party. At the house party, the duo debuted their soon-to-be-released track and video collaboration, Ah Huh

Nadia Nakai said she was excited about the collaboration with Priddy Ugly because she had been meaning to work with the rap impressionado.

I’ve respected him in his music, he’s a very good person and he enjoys what he’s doing and I felt like we would gel well – which he have – therefore, that’s why we made such a dope song,” she said.

City Buzz was given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the chemistry between the two hip-hop artists during the song’s music video shoot on 20 March at the famous Props Star Studios in downtown Joburg.

Directed and shot by Ofentse Mwase of Ofentse Mwase Films, the video adds colour to an already vibrant duo and song and sees the artists bring their larger-than-life personas on screen in a fresh and pulsating way.

“The energy is pretty cool, this is the first video that I shot in the year and it’s exciting for me because the song is really nice and it’s something that people enjoy shooting because it’s an enjoyable song,” Nadia Nakai said.

As the spirit that has been making house parties epic for over 156 years, Bacardi is passionate about supporting and celebrating music and giving aspiring artists a platform to perform. On-the-rise hip-hop stars such as Saudi, Kidtini and Focalistic were given a chance to show the public what they’ve got. They truly embodied Bacardi’s philosophy of #DoWhatMovesYou, each act showcased their unlimited creativity and artistic prowess.
