Three pedestrians sustain moderate injuries in two separate incidents

BRIXTON – In one incident, two pedestrians were knocked down in Brixton after a driver of the vehicle lost control.


ER24 confirmed that two female pedestrians sustained moderate injuries after they were knocked down by a vehicle on Ripley Road in Brixton on 18 April. 

Paramedics arrived on the scene and found two pedestrians lying near the vehicle on the pavement. On assessment, both had sustained moderate injuries. It  is believed the incident occurred after the driver of the vehicle lost control before colliding with the pedestrians. The driver was not injured.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

In the second incident in Lyndhurst, a woman believed to be in her 60s was knocked down by a vehicle and sustained moderate injuries. The paramedics arrived and found her laying on the pavement. The incident occurred after the vehicle started rolling forward and attempts to stop it failed and the pedestrian was knocked over.

All three patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
