Vote out the corrupt

BRAAMFONTEIN– These are the reasons why the youth of the country will be voting.

With the buzz around the national elections, North Eastern Tribune spoke to a student who would be voting for the first time.

“The party that I will be voting for, I believe, will better Africa as they plan to provide housing for underprivileged people and will combat corruption,” said Rosebank College student, Virshin Patel.

He added that the party he would be voting for would hopefully address corruption.

“Corruption damages the view of the country and it doesn’t give a good impression of the country as it impacts it negatively. Taking money that was supposed to help out the poor is very wrong and I believe that needs to change.”

The 18-year-old said every vote made a difference and it was very important for people to make their mark and vote.
