Percy Tau bags Belgium Proximus League Player of the Year award nomination

JOBURG – Tau’s stellar maiden season in European football puts him in line for player of the year.

Royal Union Saint-Gilloise and Bafana Bafana forward, Percy Tau, has bagged a Belgium Proximus League Player of the Year award nomination.

The nomination follows Tau’s sensational maiden season in European football. The prestigious award goes to an exceptional player judged to have been the best in Belgium’s second tier league.

Tau is on the run-up to bag the award alongside Union Saint-Gilloise teammate, Faïz Selemani, and KV Mechelen’s Nikola Storm.

Tau has scored 13 goals and achieved 12 assists in his 33 games for Royal Union Saint-Gilloise this season. This will be his second Player of Year award having previously won one in the last season of South Africa’s Absa Premiership should officially win at the awards ceremony taking place on Monday, 6 May.
