Teljoy CEO gets his hands dirty to help Soup kitchen initiative

JOBURG – The soup kitchen initiative was created after identifying a significant need to help in the greater Johannesburg area.

From the boardroom to the kitchen, Teljoy CEO Rami Sassen gets his hands dirty to help with a soup kitchen which feeds over 590 families a week.

Sassen, who is a firm believer in giving back to the community, takes time off from his busy schedule and volunteers to help others.

This month, he contributed his time to feeding over 590 families a week through Yad Aharon and Michael, South Africa’s largest Jewish Food Fund. He spent time preparing food for underprivileged families.

Sassen assisted in the soup kitchen initiative, also known as Yad’s Soup for the Soul, which has undertaken to uplift those less fortunate in society.

The initiative shows that business executives can also find the time to give back to the community in a meaningful way by volunteering or donating their time and to increase awareness among the community.

This soup kitchen initiative was created after identifying a significant need for a kosher soup kitchen in the greater Johannesburg area. It serves soup to individuals in need weekly.
