Upcoming Parktown art fair puts Roedean pupils on the same floor as leading galleries
The second edition brings leading South African art voices together with established artists, emerging talent and Roedean students.
Art lovers, collectors and creatives can look forward to the Roedean Art Fair from 1 to 3 October at Roedean School in Parktown.
The event follows last year’s inaugural fair, which featured Wilhelm van Rensburg, Arisha Maharaj, Richard “Specs” Ndimande and works from Artist Proof Studio and The Gallery.

A highlight was Roedean pupils exhibiting alongside established practitioners.
This year’s programme includes Lerato Bereng, director at Stevenson, presenting Take a Walk with Me Through a Gallery, and Karabo Morule, CEO of Capital Art, speaking on artistic identity in I’m Actuary an Artist. More speakers are expected to be announced.
Set in Parktown, the fair will combine exhibitions with conversations on contemporary art, collecting and the creative industry.

It is aimed at experienced collectors and first-time buyers. For Roedean students it offers contact with professional artists, galleries, curators and collectors, and insight into careers in the creative economy.
Times are 10:00–15:00 17:30–20:30 on 1 October,11:00–21:00 on 2 October and 09:00–20:00 on 3 October.
