The spokesperson of Joburg Water, Isaac Dludlu said the utility has dispatched its technical team to attend to the water leakage that has caused inconvenience to the motorists on the corner of Corlett Drive and Irene Road, Illovo, North of Johannesburg.
This followed an outcry from a concerned resident in the area who complained about water being wasted and causing inconvenience to the traffic after a pipe burst in the area over the weekend.
Dludlu said the matter was not reported to the utility hence there was a delay to dispatch the technical team to fix the pipe. He urged residents to make use of the City’s call centre to report leakages in their areas and ask for reference numbers of their reported cases.
“We will dispatch our technical team to attend to the matter and have it fixed. We appeal to all residents in the City of Johannesburg to report leakages to the City’s call centre and keep reference numbers of reported cases.”
