A car accident claims much-loved Norwood policeman
NORWOOD -– One of the suburb's most-loved police officers Sgt Rudzani Dicksy Malovhele died in a car accident and has since been buried in his home village of Tshiunga in Limpopo.
A car accident on the M1 at the Booysens offramp on 10 November claimed the life of one of Norwood’s much loved policemen, Sergeant Rudzani Dicksy Malovhele.
His colleague and spokesperson of the Norwood Police Station, Sergeant Eric Masotsha described Malovhele’s death as a great loss, not just to the Norwood police, but the entire police family in the country.

Malovhele was burried at his home village of Tshiungani in Venda, Limpopo on 16 November.

Masotsha described Malovhele as an ‘all in one person’ who loved all people and was able to do good for whoever he met. “A hero of the people has fallen and we can never replace him,” he told North Eastern Tribune.

“Malovhele was an anchor man of the police station, a hard working member who discharged his duties with utmost honesty after he joined the service in 2006 and had always been stationed at Norwwod as a liquor and second-hand goods officer under Vispol [Visible policing).”
