Jaws of Life used to free truck victims on the M2 in Selby

SELBY – Two heavy motor vehicles were involved in a collision.


Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the M2 in Selby Ext 20, Johannesburg on 20 December 2019.  

The accident occurred in the evening around 7pm, spokesperson for Netcare Shawn Herbst said, “Reports from the scene indicate that two heavy motor vehicles were involved in a collision. Medics found that one of the occupants had sustained serious injuries and another two had sustained moderate injuries.”

He added that a Netcare 911 rescue technician had to use hydraulic tools to free the patients.

The patients were treated and transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment. Local authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations.
