Parktown High School for Girls in Parkview highlighted the achievements of a number of their public speakers who achieved outstanding results in recent competitions.
Chiddimma Nwokedi won the Grade 11 category at the South African Literacy Association National Competition while Siphosethu Mazibuko placed sixth in the same category.
Marketing and communications manager at the school Kerry Liss also congratulated the following learner for their achievements at the National Eisteddfod:
Individual:
- Grade 8 learners Tasmiyah Bhamjee received a diploma while Tahiyyah Ismail and Radeeyah Sader won gold.
- Grade 9 learner Malebo Nhlapho received a diploma while Khuliso Mahumela and Sebosarena Mello won gold.
- Grade 10 learner Lauren Lachman received diploma while Bianca Lachman won gold.
- Grade 11 learner Tasneem Howlader received a diploma while Chiddimma Nwokedi and Fadzai Matanhire won gold.
- In the Grade 12 category, Neo-Reabetswe Mandewo received a diploma.
Group:
- Grade 10 learners Ilham Acoob, Atiyyah Ballim, Lauren Lachman and Bianca Lachman received a diploma.
- Grade 11 learners Siphosethu Mazibuko, Nabeeha Radera, Tasneem Howlader and Fadzai Matanhire received a diploma.
