Just Awakening Minds (Jam) to perform live
MELVILLE – Hillbrow's talented performers, Johannesburg Awakening Minds (JAM) will perform live in Melville on the first Sunday of December.
Following a long stretch of being away from the stage, the talented actors of Just Awakening Minds (Jam) will perform live for a Christmas performance at Piza e Vino, Melville from 3pm on the first Sunday of December.
Jam teacher and founder, Dorothy Gould said the group had begun rehearsing for their much-anticipated return to live performing.
She said Covid-19 had been hard on them, as it had been on everyone, and appealed to the community for support, explaining R500 could mean transport for five actors to weekly classes for a month.
“Owing to society’s increased focus on online meetings and activities, they also need finances or donations of laptops, phones and data, and general sponsorships to support their growing careers.”
She has encouraged the community to book their diary for the live performance in December, saying it would cost R80 per show.
