A generous gift for those in need

Learners at both junior and senior primary schools of St Teresa’s use pyjama day to give.

The chilly weather was perfect for pyjama day at St Teresa’s Junior and Senior Primary schools.

The schools, who partnered with Reach for a Dream Foundation and Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora), respectively, participated in pyjama day on May 6 in both Rosebank and Craighall Park.

The school’s computer educator and marketing liaison Lianda May said the junior primary girls purchased slipper day stickers for R20, raising just under R4 000 for the Reach for a Dream Foundation.

“They also enjoyed delicious hot chocolate and marshmallows prepared by the Grade 1 class moms and snuggled up under blankets for reading time. The senior primary girls collected food for the animals at Fora and enjoyed wearing their warm, fluffy pyjamas for assembly and classes for the day.”
