Excitement abounds as Nicarela Charity Christmas market returns to Parkview

Are you beaming with excitement for the return of the market? So many goodies to buy and treats to indulge in.

Get ready for festive fun like no other! The highly anticipated Parkview Christmas Market is making its triumphant return.

Locals can enjoy the festivities at George Hay Park in Parkview. This beloved community event promises to be a highlight of the holiday season.

Now in its 15th year, the much-loved family event for communities surrounding Parkview, promises a wide range of activities and offerings including an array of food and refreshments to suit all tastes and cultures, over 80 different craft stalls, a children’s play zone, and a whole lot more. And to delight children, Father Christmas will be on call to hear the wishes of children.

The picturesque George Hay Park will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

This event is an opportunity to embrace the festive spirit; support talented crafters and entrepreneurs, and make a positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries of Nicarela Charity. All proceeds go towards supporting the different NGOs and organisations, as well as bursaries for learners at the local Parkview schools.

Over R7m has been raised over the years in support of these charities, but fundraising was brought low by the pandemic. A team of volunteers is now restoring the Christmas market to make a significant difference to local charities, as it always has.

What can you expect?

  • Immerse yourself in a Christmas wonderland suitable for the whole family, including your furry friends (on a lead).
  • Feast on delicious food, treats and refreshments from local businesses (including the much-loved oyster bar).
  • Children can have a blast in the children’s zone filled with fun activities.
