A movement towards a more compassionate and sustainable future in Norwood
Thrift Up is a charity shop committed to sustainability and social responsibility.
Thrift Up is one of the most beloved charity shops in Norwood, and it issued a heartfelt reminder to the community about its ongoing opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others.
The store calls on community members to make a difference through clothing, shoes, and a Bric-a-Brac donation this year.
According to Sihle Ntombela, the marketing associate at the store, in support of the Johannesburg Children’s Home, Thrift Up continues its mission to make a positive impact through the support of its patrons.
“Thrift Up remains committed to its mission of blending style with compassion.”
Ntombela added that as 2024 has started, they invite the community to join them in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
“By donating pre-loved clothing, shoes, and bric-a-brac items, you directly contribute to supporting the Johannesburg Children’s Home and help create a brighter future for children in need.”
The marketing associate explained that every donated item and every purchase from Thrift Up directly supports the Johannesburg Children’s Home.
“Your generosity helps provide essential resources and opportunities for children who deserve a chance at a better life.”
How does one participate in this:
- Donate Pre-Loved Items: Clean out your closets and bring your gently used clothing and bric-a-brac items to Thrift Up or to the Johannesburg Children’s Home – located at 59 Urania Street, Observatory.
