Johannesburg Water is building a valve chamber on 16th Street and 1st Avenue in Parkhurst

Johannesburg Water is working at 16th Street and 1st Avenue in Parkhurst on valve chamber construction and reinstatement depends on the JRA’s assessment.

According to Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala, the team is currently at 16th Street and 1st Avenue in Parkhurst, building a valve chamber and will complete the backfilling. “For the reinstatement work, Johannesburg Water will create a job card to be sent to the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA), who will then be responsible for completing the tar reinstatement. The job takes longer when there are other services damaged or when there is a recurring burst pipe.” JRA will determine the cause.
