Bootcamp boost for Mrs South Africa semi-finalists

Blaqfitness helps contestants prepare mentally and physically for the big day.

Blaqfitness Studio in Ashwold hosted a special boot camp on June 21 for the Mrs South Africa semi-finalists. The event aimed to prepare the women for their upcoming showcase on July 4, not just physically but mentally too.

The idea came from one of the semi-finalists who trains at Blaqfitness. Together with the team, they organised a session focused on wellness and empowerment.
“This boot camp wasn’t just about exercise,” said Winford Masinga, fitness professional, master trainer, and life coach at Blaqfitness. “It was about helping the ladies prepare in all areas, body, mind, and emotions.”

The session received positive feedback. Many contestants described it as a welcome break from competition pressures and a great way to bond.
“There was so much laughter and unity,” Masinga added. “They supported each other and just enjoyed being present.”

Blaqfitness hopes to partner with Mrs South Africa again and take similar sessions across the country. The studio also plans to expand into corporate wellness, helping people manage everyday stress.

For Blaqfitness, wellness is not a destination. It’s a lifestyle.
