In the men’s hockey clash, Pirates Men’s A side took on the visiting Wanderers B team in what marked the club’s first derby at home in several years… And what a return it was.

The tension was thick and the pace relentless from the first whistle. While both teams showed impressive form, it was Pirates who drew first blood, slotting in a well-worked goal during the second quarter. They quickly followed it up with a second, sending the home supporters into a frenzy.

But Wanderers weren’t there to roll over. With grit and determination, they pushed back and managed to break the deadlock with a goal of their own, keeping the contest alive and the energy on edge.

The second half saw Pirates regroup with fresh legs and fierce intent. They maintained composure, controlled the tempo, and sealed the match with a third goal, a strike that not only settled the scoreline at 3–1, but stamped their authority on the derby.
