Emerging storytellers explored tools to grow, connect, and thrive as TikTok’s third Creators Education Day lit up Rosebank with creativity and community.

Rosebank was alive with creative energy on September 13 as TikTok hosted its third Creators Education Day at WeWork, bringing together a vibrant mix of emerging talents and the media.

The initiative, known as TikTok #LevelUpAfrica Creator Day, has become a vital platform for aspiring digital storytellers.

This year’s edition focused on helping creators track their growth, build lasting connections, and understand their role in the wider creative economy.

Workshops explored how to use monetisation tools effectively, the importance of producing high-quality content, and the responsibility of maintaining a safe and accountable platform. The event highlighted TikTok’s vision of empowering creators to transform their passion into sustainable careers.

Looking ahead, TikTok has committed to training 3 000 African creators by the end of 2025 through its Level Up Africa 2.0 programme.

Through partnerships like the National Film and Video Foundation, the platform aims to ensure that creators are integrated into the entertainment industry and gain exposure on both local and global stages.

For many, the day underscored that behind every piece of viral content is a creator with ambition and potential and that TikTok is working to give those voices the recognition they deserve.
