Corlett Drive excavation leads to weeks of worsened traffic

A barely barricaded excavation on Corlett Drive continues to pose a danger to motorists.

A suspected pipe burst, along Corlett Drive in Bramley, is not only hazardous; it’s causing major traffic. The excavation, which has been left for weeks, impacts the left lane.

A reporter visited the site on September 21, and found the excavation filled with water and litter. The barely barricaded excavation is surrounded by rubble, one singular cone, and a yellow barricade, meant to caution drivers of the hazardous excavation, and blocking the entire left lane.

This affects the flow of traffic on a main route for motorists, as cars are forced to slow down and switch lanes to avoid the excavation.

The reporter also noticed a few other excavations, which could also be related to the major excavation, further down on the same road.
