As 2025 comes to an end, the St Teresa’s School headmistresses pause with hearts full of gratitude for another year of learning, growth, and community.

Lynne Elfick, the Junior Primary headmistress, reflected on the year, “In the Junior Primary, we witness the wonder of learning come alive each day in our girls’ curious minds, kind hearts, and friendships based on the school’s Mercy values.”

Lindsey Verster, the Senior Primary headmistress, noted that it was a pleasure to see the Rosies grow in confidence, faith, and love.

“From our youngest Rosebuds to our high school matriculants stepping out as confident young women, each stage of our school journey highlights the beauty of learning and growth through an encouraging sisterhood. Our Rosies continue to shine brightly, learning, laughing, and supporting one another through friendship and faith.”

The headmistresses highlighted that Christmas was about reflecting on the values that guide us every day: “Love, compassion, service, and faith. These are not only the foundations of our school’s tradition and ethos but also the heartbeat that shapes how our students learn, lead, and care for others.”

They gave thanks to teachers who inspire learners with patience and purpose throughout the year, their families, Parent-Teacher Association, and alumni who trust and partner with the school, and learners whose laughter and light animate the corridors.

“As we celebrate the season of Christmas, may peace fill your homes, joy warm your hearts, and home guide you into the new year. From all of us at St Teresa’s School, stay well, travel safely, and may you thrive in the spirit of Christmas,” concluded the headmistresses.
