St Teresa’s Junior Primary public speakers shine at Blairgowrie Primary

The public speakers dissected the things we should appreciate but take for granted as their topic.

St Teresa’s Junior Primary’s team of four Grade 6 public speakers: Gabriella Psaros, Anna Bezuidenhout, Florence Bezuidenhout and Adrienne Sales shone and walked away with a trophy for the best team of the evening at Blairgowrie Primary on October 23.

The school’s Rosies presented a team speech on the topic: Things we should appreciate but take for granted.

In the words of the adjudicator, they approached their topic with depth and sincerity.

Gabriella said that although she was nervous, she enjoyed being on stage.

“I loved the experience of giving a speech and being the person responsible for introducing my team to say their parts of our team speech.”

Anna noted that the experience was nerve-wracking to stand up and talk in front of the audience.

“As soon as I started speaking, I was much more confident.

I knew my teachers helped me to prepare for this speech, and adding humour helped a bit too. We were shining examples of our school.”
