St Teresa’s School learner looks forward to grade 12

Mikayla Hendricks will be one of St Teresa's leaders in 2023.

St Teresa’s School learner Mikayla Hendricks is excited for her last year in high school.

Hendricks said Grade 11 was a year filled with abundant memories.

“Dreaming about what my Grade 11 year would be like in younger grades is much more than I ever imagined it to be. It’s been a year that has been filled with thrilling experiences and preparations for new and exciting adventures that I have yet to embark on going into my final year of school.”

The learner added that she started the year off by planning this year’s matric dance as well as juggling extramural activities such as netball.

Hendricks said she felt mixed emotions about her final year in high school.

“I’ve experienced a rollercoaster of emotions of nervousness, excitedness, and curiosity regarding Grade 12 and what 2023 holds for me. I know that I am thoroughly looking forward to leading my school with courage and pride, doing my best to be an inspirational role model, and of course finally being able to walk down the red carpet when it’s my matric dance.”
