The ten-year celebration of the Jan Celliers Art Exhibition in 2018 represented an important milestone. It provided ample borrowing for both reflection and deliberation for the way forward.
Reflection of growth; insightful acquaintance of art and coasters; sharing and learning with our school children, teachers and parents; and the gathering of old and new friends through a shared passion for creative art.

Twenty renowned South African artists participated including Guy de Toit, Leon Krige, Gordon Froud, Hannatjie van der Wat and Jan Rabi.
The exhibition grew to be the highlight on the Jan Celliers cultural calendar and was successfully expanded to the Parkview community.

The exhibition formed part of the school’s 75th birthday celebrations in 2010. South African artist, Willem Boshoff, opened the exhibition and important artists, Anton Smit, Karin Preller, Wayne Barker and Sarel Petrus, among others, exhibited their work.
The new Barbara Pretorius concert hall was built in 2015 and architect Pierre Swanepoel provided space for the exhibition. The exhibition opened with 350 guests and saw Marianne Fassler, a renowned fashion designer and former student of the school as the main speaker.

213 works were exhibited, and the exhibition almost sold out.
