Parkview residents celebrate Halloween in spooky costumes at George Hay Park
Parkview residents wore clown, zombie and mermaid costumes for Halloween.
Locals and children dressed up as their favourite characters on 26 October for George Hay Park’s annual Halloween event.

The community event, hosted by the Parkview Residents’ Association, to raise funds for the upkeep and maintenance of George Hay Park, was a resounding success with overwhelming support from the Parkview community.
Creative, spooky clown costumes to little mermaids, scary brides, and zombies dominated the park.

Many residents decorated their pavements and entrances for trick or treating, and after the carnival at the park, families walked around the neighbourhood to be spooked and delighted.
Association chair Philane Jooste said, “The Halloween event in Parkview has been an annual tradition for over a decade and brings together family and friends for an afternoon and evening of fun while supporting worthwhile causes. The annual Halloween event is an illustration of how the community rallies together to raise funds for the upkeep of their suburb.”
Pam Golding Properties sponsored the event with the support of conveyancing attorneys Fairbridges Wertheim Becker and created a carnival atmosphere with a range of activities including a Ferris wheel, horse carousel, inflatables, and treats for children.
