Craighall Park corner remains danger to pedestrians

JW repaired a water leak on the corner of Buckingham and Grosvenor avenues in Craighall Park, two years ago, but JRA is yet to reinstate.

Two-years later, Johannesburg Roads Agency has not reinstated the corner of Buckingham and Grosvenor avenues in Craighall Park.

In 2023, the Gazette reported a deep hole with an exposed metal pipe, posing a danger, not only to motorists who had to avoid the hole by driving into oncoming traffic, but also to pedestrians.

Although the excavation was since repaired by Johannesburg Water, JRA has not reinstated the pavement, which currently has concrete slabs stacked on top of one another, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk.

The Gazette will be in touch with JRA about the reinstatement.
