Meta and Digify Africa Foundation hosted a successful AI and digital Youth Summit
Meta and Digify Africa Foundation encouraged the Youth to shape the future with AI.
To make sense of the ever-evolving digital space, Meta and Digify Africa hosted a Youth Summit to debunk and understand the future of AI and the digital landscape.
The summit encouraged the youth to engage and network with industry experts to gain insights from leading professionals in the AI and digital sphere.
CEO of Digify Africa Foundation, Qhakaza Mohare, said events like the Youth Summit were important. “There’s something that happens when you’re able to bring young people together and put them in a space that’s filled with energy and other like-minded people. I think the sense of community that you build from here and the connections that you make here are also really important.”

Mohare added that summits like these were important to be able to say, not only are we going to talk about all of the opportunities, but also to show you where you can use those opportunities.
‘No chill Mzansi’ content creator, Ndivhuwo Muhanelwa, said that when he was starting his platform, he did not have many summits to equip him with knowledge about how to navigate the creator space, but he was grateful for what he learned along the way.
“I think learning the hard way was a way for me to develop a story about me dropping out of university due to a lack of funding, which shaped or inspired my content creation. Everything happened for me so that tomorrow I can be able to express and just go back and inspire someone who is going through the same thing.”
