Nkosinathi Temba proved that dreams don’t sleep

Nedbank will provide the YouthX finalists with mentorship and access to cutting-edge technology to scale their entrepreneurial ventures.

Nkosinathi Temba, winner of Nedbank’s YouthX 2025, embodied this year’s theme ‘Dreams don’t sleep.’

Youth gathered on October 4 at Constitution Hill for the YouthX Festival and Awards.

Temba secured first place as the founder of Thuto.io, which is a real-time academic rewards platform that drives improved learning outcomes.

Other finalists include:

  • 5th- Jabu Swartbooi. Founder of Navwok: A smart cane that integrates navigation and obstacle detection for blind users.
  • 4th-Phuti Maraba. Founder of Munchiez: A campus food ordering app that empowers student entrepreneurs.
  • 3rd- Bonginkosi Mabaso. Founder of Ann-Connect (Nexa): A groundbreaking offline exam and learning platform designed for students in low-connectivity environments.
  • 2nd-Sine Shabalala. Founder of Oneway Connect: An AI-driven recruitment platform that improves hiring processes for small businesses.

YouthX connects ambitious youth with thought leaders and resources that transform ideas into impact, positively reflecting Nedbank’s long-term commitment to building a thriving generation.
