Park Care Centre celebrates creativity and togetherness with garden fashion show
Laughter, colour, and community spirit filled the gardens as residents and staff stole the spotlight at Park Care Centre’s fashion show.
The gardens of Park Care Centre were awash with colour and joy on October 11, as residents, staff, and visitors gathered for the centre’s much-loved fashion show.
The lawn was transformed into a lively runway, where participants confidently showcased their style, strutting their stuff amid music, laughter, and plenty of sparkle.
For the residents, it was more than a show; it celebrated life, confidence, and community. Smiles beamed from the audience, applause rang out, and slices of cake and sweet treats added to the cheerful atmosphere.

From the youngest visitor to the oldest resident, everyone shared in the warmth and excitement of a community united by joy and care.
Lorraine le Roux, Park Care’s social work manager, reflected on the day’s magic: “It’s extraordinary to see our residents shine. Every smile and cheer reminds us that beauty, fun, and confidence have no age limit.”
She credited the day’s success to the combined efforts of staff, volunteers, and residents, whose creativity and dedication transformed the simple event into a heartwarming spectacle.
Highlights of the day included resident models confidently walking or wheeling down the runway, the dazzling work of makeup artists and dressing assistants, and the rhythmic beats from DJ Mohamed, who generously offered his services free.
While outside contributions were modest, the spirit of the Park Care family truly made the event shine.
