Jan Smuts Avenue excavation remains a danger to Craighall pedestrians

The stalling repairment of the 362 Jan Smuts Avenue excavation is due to a pipe burst.

The excavation, which is more than three months old, at 362 Jan Smuts Avenue in Craighall, not only remains an eyesore but a danger to pedestrians who frequently walk on the pavement.

A reporter visited the deep excavation, which had exposed newly installed blue pipes, and was filled with litter.

The excavation is due to a repair of a water leak.
