Pirates Bowls Club welcomes members for Sunday social bowls

Pirates Club social bowls take place every Sunday from 09:30-11:00, and is open to all community members to come and join in.

Pirates Bowls Club members soaked up the sun while aiming for the jack on January 11 in Greenside.

Chairperson Paul Elliot welcomed fairly new members and encouraged more community members to join the sport.

Tarun Pranjivan said: “We joined here because we liked the grass. We joined the club last year in June, and have been playing for 6 months.”

Dr Pradip Ganda added that the friendship group enjoyed the sport. He noted that they, one day, wanted to play in the league.

“We may be joining the league soon and taking over because that’s how dedicated we are to the game.”

There is also a first-class café on site, providing hot beverages and healthy breakfasts, plus an outdoor play facility for children.
