Jude’s passing came as a shock to friends, family, teammates and school communities. He suffered from rhabdomyolysis, a serious condition in which skeletal muscle breaks down and releases its contents into the bloodstream. Often triggered by intense physical activity, the condition can affect anyone from casual weekend warriors to dedicated athletes, particularly during pre-season training.

While the disease is rare, its impact can be devastating. Jude’s memory has inspired the Pirates Club to turn tragedy into a life-saving mission, reminding the community of the importance of giving and supporting one another.

The blood drive is a heartfelt tribute to a young life taken too soon, a moment for Greenside to unite in compassion and action.
