Puleng Dimpane, Acting National Commissioner, Lieutenant General, has instructed that the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) be included in the investigation to ensure every lead is pursued and those responsible are brought to justice.

Major General Khan was scheduled to appear before the Madlanga Commission on July 1.

While noting public speculation around the timing of the shooting, SAPS stated that it was still too early to conclude any possible motive or connect the incident to Khan’s scheduled appearance before the commission.
