‘You have now upset all honest and hardworking nurses’

Nurse responds to published article and the impression it has created for all in the industry.

Lyndhurst resident, Kathy Theron writes:

Dear Editor, as a proud nurse who has had a career of 43 years, I was deeply offended by the headline in the North Eastern Tribune, week ending 18 March 2016, Nurses prey on granny.

It is only on the next line, in small print, that you specified that they were bogus nurses, but by that time you had given the impression that they were genuine nurses and you have now upset all honest and hardworking nurses trying to make a living.

Anyone who employs a nurse, caregiver or any worker, should check their credentials first because it is too late to complain once the damage has been done. I was sad to hear about the unfortunate events involving Marjorie Montgomerie and hope it will be a warning to others to check potential employees carefully before letting them in your homes.
