2023’s Must Have Diary

The diary is created by South African abundance guru and financial coach Linda Smith Harvey.

To many of us, our diaries are as personal and meaningful to us as our favourite pair of shoes or that vintage jacket that just never goes out of style.

It’s beautiful, it’s perfect and it is the ultimate expression of who you are or who you’re working to become through your life’s work.

For me, that diary has for the last eight years been Linda’s Abundance Diary.

It’s created by South African abundance guru and financial coach Linda Smith Harvey. My love of this diary stems from a time in my life when I was frankly; drowning in debt and didn’t know whether I was coming or going.

I was drowning and the idea of abundance was foreign to me and –if I’m honest- tied to misguided information about what the concept actually entailed. It took working with Linda and uncovering my limiting beliefs around not just money but what true abundance really means.

Hint: It’s not about how much money you have. Whether we acknowledge it or not –we all have beliefs around what we deserve in life, whether that’s in relationships, friendships, jobs or money.

“When your finances aren’t structured it creates so much stress and anxiety around money. 90% of the population neglect to save. Saving should be your number one expense,” says Smith Harvey.

There is nothing like gaining back control over your money situation, and doing the work to get to where you need or want to be to improve the quality of your life.

The key is controlling your money and not letting emotions or impulsive spending control you and taking back your power in your own life. Your money should work for you not you grinding for it.

Our stress and anxiety around money really impacts our mental and physical health and hampers abundance in every other area of your life. My beliefs were of lack. I got rid of money as soon as I got it because of a belief that if I didn’t use it someone would come and take it. It caused me untold pain and hardship as did that belief in my relationships.

Linda’s Abundance Diary and journal accompanied by the website that acts as a support for your lessons gets to the root of these beliefs and holds them up to the light. The journal helps you get your limiting beliefs down on paper while the diary has daily lessons, insights and even simpler aids like comprehensive budgeting sections from daily to monthly and for the year ahead.

There are lessons on why we believe what we do about money and the importance of confronting our fears around money and ultimately learning to make your money work for you and not the other way around.

It has changed my life for the better and although I’m still on the road to financial abundance I can honestly say that even after a nearly 3 year COVID induced unemployment streak, I’m still a lot better off than I was before I happened upon this phenomenal diary.

What about you? Do you have a diary that’s your absolute must have and why?
