In addition to playing for his side, he also participated in the U11 tournament only 10 minutes later, as they were a player short. Anthony then received another medal for his efforts in helping the team win their game.

This tournament was a follow-up to the one the club’s director of coaching, Gabriel Joachim, had initiated in August against the same Alexandra team. The tournament ran over two weekends and each club fielded two sides, one U8 group and the U11 group. Zoo Lake Cricket Academy were the overall winners.

“I am so proud of Anthony”, said Joachim, “he is so enthusiastic, a good team player, always with a smile on his face, with energy that keeps going till the very end.”
