Furore over Rabada’s ‘drama queen’ headline

The daily paper called the young bowler a drama queen in their headline on their front page story. The post, which was promoting the story, also spelled Rabada’s surname as Radaba.
They also called the former St Stithians Boys College old boy a drama queen on their front page story. The headline reads, Drama queen op skool.
Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula was the first to comment about the post and lashed out at the paper for the mistake and described it as a mockery.
Die Beeld editor, Adriaan Basson, apologised to Rabada on twitter, and said they have since removed the headline. According to Basson, during an interview with Rabada’s former teacher at St Stithians Boys College it was revealed that Rabada participated in drama at school, and that’s how the headline came about.

All this, after the 20-year-old fast bowler’s impressive performance in the Test series against England for the Proteas where he ended the series as the leading wicket-taker in the series.
