Maccabi Linksfield Table Tennis Club invites players to join
LINKSFIELD - The Maccabi Linksfield Table Tennis Club is the perfect facility for budding table tennis stars and those interested in the sport.
It boasts some of the best table tennis players in the country, a resident coach, as well as numerous league wins including the Gauteng Central Table Tennis Association’s Open Premier League title. Presently the club has a recent national open men’s champion, a veterans champion as well as players ranked nationally in the top 10 on both senior and junior levels.
Established in the 60s, the club is proud to have provided community members with the opportunity to play table tennis on a social and professional level over the years. Many players started as juniors and went on to represent the province and even South Africa.
The club is affiliated with the Gauteng Central Table Tennis Association and, along with other clubs and teams in the province, participates in various leagues hosted by the association. Both beginners advanced players participate in these leagues.
The club is based at Linksfield Primary School on the corner of Club and Kloof streets, and all table tennis fanatics are welcome to join the club and participate in training or competitions.
Practise sessions are held every Sunday. Junior players enjoy lessons from 4pm to 6pm and senior players from 7pm to 10pm.
