KES bring home the gold at Gauteng champs

JOBURG – KES rowing stars shine at Roodeplaat Dam in recent schools championship.

King Edward VII School were the proud hosts of this year’s Annual Gauteng Junior Rowing Championships held at Roodeplaat Dam.

This is the highlight on the rowing calendar and all the crews who have worked hard all season, aim to come home with deserved medals.

The KES rowing club produced some very notable and outstanding results as the senior boy’s 1st 8 claimed gold.

The team that won was made up of the following crew: Chris Baxter; Nic Nepgen, Keagan Reynolds,
Damien Bonhage-Koen, Ntsako Mphahlani, Dean Geldhof, Cameron Menton, Cameron Bryce and Vincent Jackson.

KES old boy and Olympic silver medalist, Shaun Keeling was the guest of honour at the championships and handed over the prizes and awards to all the medal winners on the day.
