Golf tour pays a visit to KCC

KILLARNEY – The Killarney Country Club had the pleasure of hosting one of the IGT Challenge Tour games with Kaminski celebrating a victory.

A golf tournament developmental tour recently took place at Killarney Country Club.

According to tour commissioner Cois du Plooy,e Tour, Rupert Kaminski defeated Kyle McClatchie and Keenan Davidse at the first playoff hole after they all had finished on four under par in the International Golf Tournament (IGT) Challenge Tour.

“McClatchie got eliminated on the first playoff hole after finding the water on his second shot. Kaminski, who turned professional this year on the Sunshine Tour, parred the second extra hole after both players made par on the first playoff hole. While Kaminski celebrated adding to his silverware haul, there was a disappointment for Davidse who finished with drops on 17th and 18th hole for four under,” Du Plooy said.

IGT Golf provides players with the opportunity to experience all aspects of life as a true touring golf professional with a schedule built around a geographical series and different varieties of championship golf courses.

The IGT Challenge Tour puts a greater emphasis on strong community support, well-organised events and development and has helped more professionals acquire their PGA Tour (Professional Golf Association) cards. The tour is the only one to include 54 and 72 hole tournaments.

In 2017, IGT Golf became a proud partner of the Sunshine Tour and the official development tour for the Sunshine and Big Easy Tour.
