Ladies show off their skills at the Wanderers Golf Club
The ladies open is a friendly competition where one would enter a fourball and the format would be an alliance with two scores to count.
Local women brought their A game for the Ladies Open at the Wanderers Golf Club on March 24.

The ladies’ newly appointed captain, Karien Alberts was stoked about her first friendly tournament, “This event happens every last Friday of the month. It attracts amateur players from all golf courses around Gauteng, with different handicaps.”Alberts added it was a friendly competition in which fourballs were entered and the format was an alliance with two scores to count. She said it was not only a way to enjoy the prestigious 18-hole golf course but also to network and showcase one’s business.

The winners of the day were Emily Kark, Joan Gaddie and Lara Verbaan. Second place went to Tracey Coetzer, Jeanne Stravino and Georgie Macroberts.

Alberts encouraged women to sign up for the next competition on April 28. To enter online go to www.myclubaccount.co.za
