KES skipper Lwazi Monakali led from the front as he scored three magnificent tries to spearhead his team to their second victory of the festival.
After losing to Ben Vorster on the first day of the festival the Red Army as they are popularly known, showed great spirit to bounced back
and win their remaining games of the festival.
Monakali said he was delighted by his teams showing, despite suffering defeat in their first game.
“Today it was a tough game playing in the heat, we did not play well in the first half, but we came out firing from the break, we started spreading them wide and we managed to have a good score in the end,” he said on his team’s performance against Northwood.
There were also wins for Kingswood College,Waterkloof, Eldoraigne and Jeppe boys who were arguably the best team of the festival after finishing unbeaten.
The festival has a unique family flavour and is considered to be an annual pilgrimage for multitudes of past pupils and friends of the school.
