Sizwe Dhlomo twar over Jub Jub sentencing
JOBURG - Radio personality, Sizwe Dhlomo was told on Twitter to focus on radio announcements and to leave law to the lawyers.
This after Dhlomo commented on the overturning of Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye and his co-accused Themba Tshabalala murder and attempted murder convictions.
@SizweDhlomo first retweeted Almaz Sithole who said: When we tweet our opinions law students tend to dismiss us on the basis that we are no experts, turns out I was right about #JubJub. BOOM!
He then followed it with a tweet telling tweeps to stop telling others what to tweet about:
Dhlomo continued to rant on about the overturning of the conviction:
Dhlomo was eventually called out by another tweep @KMalatji for “insulting the judicial system”.
A full on twar followed with both sides defending their opinions:
@KMalatji blasted: @SizweDhlomo the law was wrongly applied. Ncono wena o dire di shut up morena. Focus mo di announcement tsa bo [It’s best you shut up and focus on your radio announcements] “up next it’s Danny K…”
He further accused Dhlomo of “making up his own ratio decidendi’s and obiters”.
The insults carried on from both sides for a while and City Buzz was not too sure who won, but it was quite entertaining.
